PAST PROJECTS

Hospital La Fe - Velencia

Soleco had the privilege of supplying over 8000 steel frames for timber doors to Europe’s largest hospital. The La Fe is housed in 9 huge wings and comprises laboratories, theatres, wards and consultation rooms. Every day over 3000 people attend as out patients with an average of 700 emergencies each day. In addition there are 1000 patient beds with all the associated visitors. The door frames had to be resilient to the traffic, easy to clean for the health of the patients and not be vulnerable to swelling or infestation especially where frame legs meet the floor. Regular mopping leads to water damage at the junction between the timber frameleg and the floor.

Apple Store - Amsterdam

Matt stainless steel and semi-polished limestone reinforce Apple’s brand consistency. The Soleco frames we supplied reflected the brushed metallic and bright white aesthetics of the company’s devices.

Following Apple’s sharp in-store interior elements Soleco were asked to provide 20 Steel Door Frames in stainless steel and powder coated to match the white polished appearance of the store.

New NATO HQ – Brussels

Soleco supplied over 3000 steel frames for internal doors in the building designed to resemble interlocking fingers. The frames are finished in a durable powder coated finish to withstand the use of the 4500 personal who work in the building every day.

Built on the site of Belgium’s first airfield which was used as a Zeppelin hangar during WW2 the new building has been built with the environment in mind. The Soleco steel frames are 100% recyclable and fitted perfectly with the design ethos of the designers who also specified co-generation units to provide electricity; geothermal heating and grey water systems in the washrooms.

For security reasons we cannot show any internal photographs of the project.
